Additionally, Uwe Lippert (39) started as Senior Sales Manager at the beginning of the year. The business graduate previously worked as Department Director Institutional Sales Europe at Metzler Asset Management and held previously various positions for HDI Lebensversicherung and AXA Group.

The fund distribution team is to be further expanded, from currently five to eight sales professionals in the future.
In a strongly growing European fund market, the expansion of fund distribution capabilities is a meaningful extension of the product range from fund structuring and launching to administration. This also brings Universal-Investment closer to its self-imposed goal of becoming the largest European fund services platform and management company for all asset classes. At the end of 2020, the volume of investments by fund initiators on Universal-Investment's platform had increased by 39 percent to EUR 50 billion. This increasingly includes special funds in the areas of alternative investments and real estate, which are distributed by fund initiators to institutional investors. In 2020, the Universal Investment Group achieved the German industry's highest net inflows across all fund types with over EUR 35 billion due to many successful joint fund projects with both fund initiators and institutional investors.
