Universal Investment Group strengthens commercial leadership team with two senior appointments

Universal Investment Group, Europe’s leading Super ManCo and fund services provider, today announced the appointment of Antonio Soler as Chief Commercial Officer. Effective from January 6, 2026, Soler will join the UI Group’s management board, reporting directly to Francesca McDonagh, Group Chief Executive Officer. In his new position, Soler will lead the Group’s commercial strategy, overseeing all activities across sales, relationship management, fund distribution, marketing & external communications, and sales enablement.

Antonio Soler brings more than 20 years of sales and relationship management experience in the fund services industry. He joins Universal Investment from Vistra where he most recently served as Global Head of Corporate Business Unit. In this role, he was responsible for corporate strategy, revenue and growth, M&A, product development, as well as client-facing technology and pricing. During his tenure at Vistra, he also served as Managing Director of the US Corporate Business and Regional Head of the Americas, where he re-established the commercial model and go-to-market processes.
Prior to this, Soler was Vice President & Head of Global Services at Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in information, software solutions, and services for professionals in tax and accounting, financial and corporate compliance, and legal and regulatory services. Before joining Wolters Kluwer, Soler held several senior management roles at TMF Group and Triton Securities, where he gained extensive experience in commercial leadership and international business development.
Prior to this, Soler was Vice President & Head of Global Services at Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in information, software solutions, and services for professionals in tax and accounting, financial and corporate compliance, and legal and regulatory services. Before joining Wolters Kluwer, Soler held several senior management roles at TMF Group and Triton Securities, where he gained extensive experience in commercial leadership and international business development.
Reflecting the Group’s strong commitment to client success, the company also announced the appointment of Frank Becker as Head of Relationship Management for Asset Owners and Asset Managers in the DACH region, effective from January 1, 2026. Becker will report directly to Antonio Soler and will be responsible for strategic management and development of relationships with all existing clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Frank Becker joins Universal Investment from MEAG MUNICH ERGO KAG mbH, the capital investment company of the Munich Re Group, where he most recently served as Managing Director and a member of the Board of Management. His responsibilities included the global expansion and development of the business with third-party institutional and intermediary/wholesale investors. He also oversaw product management at MEAG KAG, including active public market solutions and a broad range of alternative asset classes such as infrastructure debt, infrastructure equity, forestry, and real estate.
Prior to this, Becker served as Managing Director at SSGA GmbH, State Street Global Advisors. Previously, he held several senior positions at Pioneer Investments and brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
