The Group Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for products and services across Universal-Investment Group. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of high-quality resources. 

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement category management and sourcing plans for initiatives across the Group
• Conduct regular market reviews to identify potential suppliers and assess offering
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies
• Complete regular competitive supplier tenders and benchmarking of offerings
 

Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and service
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery
• Review Maintenance arrangements and external workbench contracts

Contract Negotiation

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers/vendors
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements
• Manage contract renewals/amendments (incl. payment terms, quality standards.)

Total Cost of Ownership

• Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities applying TCO approach
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality
• Drive demand management and detailed user requirement assessment
• Monitor cost savings initiatives through Procurement savings scorecard
• Ensure that cost savings are validated by Finance and properly impacting P&L

Procurement Process Management

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services
• Ensure timely and accurate purchase order creation, approval, and processing
• Coordinate with Finance department to ensure timely payments to suppliers
• Review supplier T&Cs and optimize payment terms (when applicable)
• Ensure proper deployment of new UI Procurement Policy across the Group

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with departments to understand their Procurement needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers to align procurement activities with business objectives
• Communicate procurement strategies and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with Procurement of IT products and services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities and supplier agreements

 
Your skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience in managing Procurement spend categories
• Proven experience as a Strategic Buyer across spend categories
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier contract management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities (i.e. ability to work with numbers)
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools (especially Excel & Purchasing tools)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (incl. stakeholder management)
• Collaborative and team mindset. Ability to work with large cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of procurement categories, products, services, and market trends
• Very good English language skills, additional German language skills prefered
• Ability to spend at least 50% of his/her time capacity in the UI office in person

The Procurement Category Manager for IT will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for IT products and services. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of high-quality IT resources. 

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for IT procurement.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies.
 

Vendor Management

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• independent examination and negotiation of fund related documentation/contracts under German law and providing templates of legal documents for departments.
• Review and negotiation of OTC contract documentation (DRV/ISDA) for various OTC products (e.g. credit derivatives)
• Legal support of class action proceedings for companies of the Universal Group
• handling legal issues for management, specialized departments and affiliated companies
• Legal support, processing and evaluation of national and international legal developments such as directives and proposed legislation / advising the specialist departments regarding the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements for the investment business

 Your skills and experience:

• Two state exams in law or comparable qualifications
• Professional experience of at least 3 years in the legal department of an investment company and/or a bank and/or a law or auditing firm desirable
• Knowledge of German and, if applicable, international investment law desirable
• A careful and analytical way of working
• Ability to become quickly familiar with new topics and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
• Very good knowledge of English
• Ability to work in a team and service-orientation

• Abgeschlossenes wirtschaftswissenschaftliches oder juristisches Hochschulstudium
• Erfolgreich absolviertes Steuerberaterexamen von Vorteil, aber kein Muss
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der Steuerberatung oder der Inhouse-Steuerabteilung eines international agierenden Konzerns

We are looking for a Senior IT Security Manager to join our Data Complience (UIS) deparment and drive excellence within our Security Operations Center.  

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and incident response procedures
• Support maintaining a SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems
• Coordinate vulnerability management programs and remediation efforts
• Maintain and optimize our EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) solution
• Provide security consulting to internal stakeholders and business units
• Contribute to implementing Zero Trust Architecture principles across the organization
• Facilitate DevSecOps practices and ensure OWASP compliance in development processes
• Maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks and policies
• Participate in penetration testing activities and security assessments
• Contribute to developing cloud governance frameworks and maintain secure cloud landing zone architectures
• Support compliance efforts with regulatory standards including DORA, BaFin, and CSSF requirements
• Collaborate with the CISO team to implement and maintain security frameworks based on ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks
• Facilitate security awareness training programs and delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into business processes

 
Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 10 years of comprehensive cybersecurity experience
• At least 5 years in senior security leadership positions
• Extensive experience leading Security Operations Center (SOC) operations
• Advanced proficiency with XDR systems
• Expert-level knowledge of SIEM platforms
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust Architecture implementation
• Strong background in DevSecOps methodologies and OWASP standards
• Comprehensive experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
• Hands-on penetration testing and security assessment experience
• Proven security consulting experience with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of cloud security governance and DevOps practices and Scrum methodologies
• Thorough understanding of ISO 27001, NIST Framework, and CIS Benchmarks
• Experience with financial sector regulations: DORA, BaFin, and CSSF compliance
• Project management experience
• Fluency in English. Professional working knowledge of German will be an asset

 
Certifications Required:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) preferred
• CompTIA CySA+
• Microsoft security certifications (AZ-500, SC-100, AZ-400)

Grow with us! We are currently looking for a working student to join our AML Compliance Team that is a part of our Corporate Compliance Department. Our team is responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate and effective internal policies, procedures and controls to prevent misusing of the company or its resources for money laundering, terrorist financing or other criminal activities. .

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Support the team in the creation and further development of policies and control procedures for ensuring compliance with the AML legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support the implementation, development and constant updating of the MLRO Monitoring Plan and perform regular and ad-hoc monitoring activities.
• Assist the compliance officers in analyzing and identifying potential gaps, deficits or inefficiencies in the AML control framework, and implement remedial measures.
• Handle as a 2nd-line support day-to-day issues in Customer Due Diligence (Know Your Customer), Transactions Due Diligence and Sanctions/PEP Screening.
• Provide analyses and overviews of upcoming legal requirements as well as support the update and development of new training materials.
• Support internal projects like data consolidation and portfolio migration to a new AML/KYC platform.

Your skills and experience:

• Ongoing education in Law, Business Law, Economics, or other relevant major.
• Previous AML experience or regulatory knowledge would be an advantage.
• Strong English language skills. German language skills would be a plus.
• Advanced MS Office literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability in concisely summarizing complex topics.
