The Procurement Category Manager for IT will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for IT products and services. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the cost-effective and timely procurement of high-quality IT resources. The Strategic Buyer will work closely with the IT department and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with the company's strategic goals.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for IT procurement.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies.
Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
Contract Negotiation:
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed.
Cost Management:
• Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality.
• Track and report on cost savings achieved through strategic sourcing initiatives.
Procurement Process Management:
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for IT goods and services.
• Ensure timely and accurate purchase order creation, approval, and processing.
• Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with the IT department to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Communicate procurement strategies and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement of IT products and services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities and supplier agreements.

 
Your skills and experience:

• Proven experience as a Strategic Buyer in the IT sector.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 1-3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in Bezug auf Nachhaltigkeit im Finanzwesen vorzugweise in einer Investment- / Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft, Beratung oder ESG-Datenanbieter

• Legal support, processing and evaluation of national and international legal developments such as directives and proposed legislation / advising the specialist departments regarding the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements for the investment business

 Your skills and experience:

• Two state exams in law or comparable qualifications
• Professional experience of at least 4 years in the legal department of an investment company and/or a bank and/or a law or auditing firm desirable
• Working knowledge in the area of OTC derivates contracts (DRV/ISDA)
• Knowledge of German and, if applicable, international investment law desirable
• A careful and analytical way of working

For our Product Solutions Fund Initiators team, we are looking for a Working Student to support us during exciting time of transformation.

• Support in the preparation of fund contracts / issue documents and annexes as well as coordination with in-house specialist departments and investors, international asset managers, custodians
• Preparation and coordination of other contractual components with external contracting parties, among others regarding fee agreements, powers of attorney and cancellations
• Independent and accurate handling of administrative activities, such as correspondence and mail, return control, archiving, physical and electronic filing.
• Participation and support in cross-team projects and meetings with specialized departments
• Support in setting up governance and control processes

 
Your skills and experience:

• High commitment, flexibility and motivation
• Hands-on mentality and proactive approach
• Fluent English and German
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Project Management skills
• Good MS Office skills (especially Excel and Word)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• submission per mail/courier or email of requested fund- and tax-related documents to the responsible custodians and investors
• taking care of physical incoming post for WHT team
• liaising with external parties (KVG, custodians) and teams internally at Ul to complete tax- related activities
• responsible for all organizational tasks pertaining withholding tax team as team support
• review of refund announcements from custodians and fee invoices
• responsible for electronical archiving system

 
Your skills and experience:

• Fluent English, communicative German is mandatory
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help and support the team in successfully managing the fund life cycle within the scope of the relevant organisational and working instructions.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Your skills and experience:

• Language skills: English, German
• Project management skills
• MS Word / Excel
• Personal skills: strong sense of responsibility, high degree of reliability, organisational skills, focus on quality and deadline-oriented working in a dynamic and changing international environment.
